Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property of Montenegro announced an International Competition for the conceptual architectural design of the base station for the "Hajla and Štedim" ski center.
The subject of the competition is the development of a conceptual architectural design for the base station of the “Hajla and Štedim” ski center, located within the scope of the Local Site Study of Hajla and Štedim ("Official Gazette of Montenegro - municipal regulations", No. 22/18), Municipality of Rožaje.

Deadlines and the jury decision
The deadline for submitting competition entries was August 15th, 2024 by 13:00 (local time in Montenegro).
37 competition entries were submitted within the specified deadline.
Žiri je u prvoj fazi konkursa zaključio da pet radova koji su ušli u finalni krug, iako su pokazali zadovoljavajući nivo kvaliteta u ključnim arhitektonskim aspektima, nisuu potpunosti odgovorili na složene izazove koje ova lokacija postavlja. Žiri je jednoglasno odlučio da u prvoj fazi nije bilo opravdano odabrati prvoplasirani rad. Shodno tome, odlučeno je da se konkurs nastavi kao produženi konkurs u skladu sa članom 5 Pravilnika o načinu i postupku raspisivanja i sprovođenja javnog konkursa za idejno arhitektonsko rješenje („Službeni list CG“ br. 19/18, 2/24 i 8/24).
The deadline for submitting revised competition entries was October 11th, 2024, by 13:00 (local time in Montenegro). By the specified deadline, all five entries were submitted under the following codes: RCL2024, 12321, HAJLA, 213742, and 87106.
Final jury decision in the extended competition
Žiri je konstatovao da nasuprot prepoznatom potencijalu pojedinih rješenja, i ukazanom povjerenju autorima da unaprijede prvobitno dostavljena rješenja kroz produženi konkurs, nijedno rješenje nije ispunilo u potpunosti kriterijume iz Raspisa konkursa, Konkursnog zadatka, bližih uslova iz Pitanja i odgovora, a posebno opštih preporuka koje su poslate autorima u produženom krugu.
The Jury, by a majority vote, has decided not to award prizes or honourable mentions for the entries in the extended competition, as the designs were not improved in accordance with the jury's feedback and expectations, and entries exhibited irregularities in urban parameters. In this regard, the jury has decided, by majority vote, to grant special equal non-monetary recognitions – commendations – to the submissions under the codes: RCL2024, 87106, 12321, and 213742, which demonstrated notable qualities in certain aspects.
