Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property of Montenegro announced an International Competition for the conceptual architectural design of the base station for the "Hajla and Štedim" ski center.
The subject of the competition is the development of a conceptual architectural design for the base station of the “Hajla and Štedim” ski center, located within the scope of the Local Site Study of Hajla and Štedim ("Official Gazette of Montenegro - municipal regulations", No. 22/18), Municipality of Rožaje.
The deadline for submission of entries was Thursday, August 15, 2024, by 13:00h (Montenegrin local time).
Preliminary Jury Report:
The receiving and opening of the competition entries was carried out by the rapporteurs, along with the president of the Jury, dr Svetlana Perović, on August 19th, 2024. The Report on Receiving Competition Entries has been prepared, which is an integral part of this Report. It was noted in the same document that by the specified deadline, i.e., by 13:00 (local time in Montenegro) on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, a total of 37 competition entries had been submitted, while 3 competition entries were submitted after the deadline. The rapporteurs downloaded folders labeled "author's data" for safekeeping, which the jury does not have access to until the determination of the final ranking list of participants and signing the decision on the distribution of prizes.
The jury process began on the day the competition documentation was delivered to the jury members, on August 19th, 2024. In addition, three jury sessions were held on September 11th, 12th, and 13th, 2024.
The Jury conducted a review and evaluation of the 37 competition entries that were submitted within the specified deadline.
Final selection was made for entries that possess qualities and potential for prize consideration. The five selected entries are: RCL2024, 12321, HAJLA, 213742, and 87106. (Please refer to the attached document – Preliminary Jury Report for more information).
Upon reviewing the competition documentation of the five works that reached the final round, the Jury unanimously decided that it is not justified to select a first-place entry at this stage. Therefore, it was decided that the competition will continue as an extended competition in accordance with Article 5 of the Rulebook on the procedure of announcing and conducting public competitions for conceptual architectural solutions (Official Gazette of Montenegro No. 19/18, 2/24, and 8/24).
The Jury formulated the clear tasks and obligations for the participants in the extended competition, which will be provided to the participants on the day of publication of the Preliminary Jury Report.
Deadline:
The deadline for submitting revised competition entries is October 11th, 2024, by 13:00 (local time in Montenegro).
After this, the Jury will evaluate the revised entries, establish the final ranking of participants, and decide on the distribution of prizes.
