The Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property has announced a national competition for the conceptual architectural design of the Neonatology Center within the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
The subject of the competition is the selection of the best conceptual architectural design for the construction of a new healthcare facility – the Neonatology Center within the Clinical Center of Montenegro, located at UP6 in Podgorica. This is planned within the scope of the Urban Project "Clinical Center of Montenegro" – amendments and supplements (Official Gazette of Montenegro – municipal regulations no. 23/11), Capital City Podgorica.
At UP6, the expansion of the IBD (Institute for Children's Diseases) building is planned, including the following facilities: Human Milk Bank, Pediatrics, and the Neonatology Center (total building area 600 m² / gross area 2400 m²). In accordance with the nature of the institution, the Neonatology Center should be designed as a separate entity, not visibly isolated from the rest of the complex.
The goal of the competition is to obtain a functional and aesthetically recognizable conceptual architectural solution that matches and enhances the existing state of the KCCG complex and will serve as a basis for the preparation of technical documentation for the realization of this project.
Competition deadlines:
The competition is open from Thursday, June 3, 2024. The deadline for submission of works is Tuesday, September 10, 2024, by 12:00 PM. The competition results will be announced by Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The competition organizer will publish the results on the official competition website: www.architecturalcompetitions.me, following the jury's decision and the preparation of the jury's report.

- Tamara Marović, M.Arch., Head of the Directorate for Development and Promotion of Architecture, representative of the organizer – member.
Prize fund:

Eligibility:
Individuals or entities based in Montenegro are eligible to participate, provided that at least one of the authors of the competition work (individual or team leader) is a licensed architect. The author or team leader may engage experts from other professions to improve the competition solution.

Registration is not required; participation in the competition is free.
