The Chief City Architect office of the Municipality of Berane has announced an international competition for the conceptual architectural and urban design of the building - the new city cemetery in Berane.
The subject of the conceptual architectural - urban solution is the construction of a new city cemetery with accompanying communal facilities, for which the border has been determined in the scope of KO Budimlja, Municipality of Berane. This scope represents the boundary of the new Orthodox cemetery in both phases.
The aim of the subject Conceptual architectural-urban solution is to carry out the spatial and technical elaboration of the optimal variant of the Orthodox cemetery at a definitively determined location for both phases, in a certain scope, whereby the way of arranging the space would be proposed, shapes and materialization would be determined, taking into account the wider context and environment.
Competition deadlines
The Competition shall be open as of Tuesday, 18 July 2023.
The deadline for submission of entries is 23:59 (UTC+1) Monday, 18 September 2023.
All participants may pose their competition related questions until Monday, 31 July 2023, whereupon all received questions and answers shall be published on the website of the Municipality of Berane by Monday, 14 August 2023.

The results of the Competition shall be published by 2 October 2023.
Following the decision of the Jury and submission of the Final report, the Competition Announcer shall publish the results of the Competition on the official website of the Municipality www.berane.me.

Second prize: 7.000,00 €
Thrid prize: 3.500,00 €
Honorable mention: 1.500,00 €
